About Me:

My name is Luke Nagy and I’m a Christian, husband, father, and pastor-theologian. I was born, raised, and live in northwest Ohio. My goal is for people to love God and experiencing the blessings of God’s love.

I have completed a Master of Theology degree at Dallas Theological Seminary. I’m currently a PhD student at Dallas in the “ABD” (All But Dissertation) phase.

My primary area of study is systematic theology. Within systematics I’m mainly interested in more anthropological questions: “how can people flourish?” My passion, as a pastor-theologian is people living happy, joy-filled lives! I believe the love of God to us, and through us is the greatest gift we can receive and give. God’s love is the best love.

My interests are fairly eclectic, and perhaps esoteric. And my theological method reflects my broad and multidisciplinary interests. My theological method is largely dependent upon “synthesis”. The key to understanding ANY topic is to appreciate and attempt to reconcile the competing demands and implications which the topic presents. I believe that this is the best method because it appreciates the Triune God’s stamp of personality on the material, psychological, and spiritual realms. If God is unity in diversity, we ought to expect that all the issues of life involve unity in diversity.

I hope you appreciate some of the things I have to say — perhaps some of my words spur you to take up topics in a fuller way. My sincere prayer is that the words I write will help people to see more and more how wonderful Jesus is and to seek to be a more perfect disciple of Him.
